How to Disable Windows Server Firewall
How to Disable Windows Server Firewall
Follow the steps below to disable the firewall on your Windows Server. This process can be useful in some testing or network configuration situations, but remember that disabling the firewall can make the server more vulnerable. Make these changes with caution.
Step 1: Access the Firewall
- In the Windows Server search bar, type Firewall and select the Windows Firewall option.
Step 2: Go to Activation/Deactivation Settings
- Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
Step 3: Deselect Firewall Options
- On the new screen, select Turn off Windows Firewall for both the Private and Public networks.
Step 4: Apply the Changes
- After selecting the deactivation options, click OK to apply the changes.
Step 5: Firewall Disabled
- The firewall will now be successfully disabled. You will see that the settings have changed.
With these steps, the Windows Server firewall will be disabled. If you need to reactivate it in the future, just follow the same process and select the activation options.
